About the Artist
I graduated in 2014 with a degree in Fine Art from Wirral Metropolitan College, Birkenhead, followed by a year's Fellowship. In 2016 I was the winner of the Editions Liverpool Open, which resulted in a solo exhibition at Editions Gallery in early 2017. Since then my work has been exhibited and sold in a number of other places, including an invitation exhibition in a local gallery and the Liverpool Art Fair.
Much of my work explores the recording and re-presentation of sometimes overlooked details of everyday life. I am particularly interested in capturing fleeting glimpses of the world, often from a train or moving car. I use my own photographs as a starting point, manipulating the images, printing on different substrates and integrating with paint in multi-layered pieces.
I continue to be an active learner, keen to improve my technique and to further explore ways of mark making and interpretation.
