Message from Joe
I hope that you are well and enjoying the lovely late Summer sunshine.
I was planning to restart the classes at West Kirby Arts Centre on Monday 28th September.
However the current rate of infection in Wirral and Liverpool is a real cause of concern, as well as the pending new restrictions - so I will not be opening then, and I’ll be reviewing a start date every couple of weeks.
When it is practicable to start, there is some great news, Tony and Debbie at the Arts Centre have received Arts Council funding for their COVID preparations which includes an air purifier that will circulate and purify the air in the hall every hour. They have made other additional alterations to the hall to make it as safe as possible.
Looking forward optimistically, I have assessed the best way to organise our groups within the present guidelines. There will be changes to how we do things and there will be at least 2m space between group members attending the classes.
Also I have reduced my classes to one day a week - a Monday - unfortunately this means that I won’t be able to run my Figure Drawing and Painting Course.
The proposed timetable is as follows:
Classes for 2020 - 21 will take place on a Monday
11.00 - 1pm: Still Life Drawing and Painting
1.30 - 3.30pm: Painting Challenge
4.00 - 6.00pm: Painting Techniques and Ideas
Let’s hope that we can resume again in the not too distant future! In the meantime I will be sending out a note each week about anything art related that I’ve seen that might be of interest to you, and a theme that you could choose to respond to.
Every good wishes,
