During our Portrait session on Monday we discussed the work of Tai Shan Shierenberg, http://www.schierenbergportraits.com/

who is a well established British portrait painter. I think that the link to the work of Lucien Freud is clearly evident.

We also discussed drawing - what I term the 'edge of the form' or that part of the figure that is nearest to you, it is important to consider this when you are making your drawing and how we will use pictorial devices to create the illusion of form. I have added one of my life drawings that might be of interest to you.

Please note : owing to the difficult lighting conditions in the hall and reflections from glass etc, the quality of some of the photographs is unfortunately a bit mixed but hopefully good enough to give you a good enough view of the exhibition.
