Painting Challenge 3 week 1

I thought that we made an excellent start to Painting Challenge 3 yesterday.

The objects were chosen mindful of both the challenge and our commercial Christmas enterprise! Our Christmas Exhibition opens on Friday 8th December 6 - 8 pm - I will provide further details soon.

Again yesterday, we placed our thinking around the work of Velazquez and we chatted about artists from the Red Rag Gallery which is well worth a look http://www.redraggallery.co.uk/artists.asp

We also discussed what artists mean by ‘form’ and how pictures can have a variety of readings based on the intention of the artist.
